Hi I’m Sara Cowlan, MS, RD, CDN.

I’m a registered dietitian who helps older teens and adults heal their relationship with food. After years of being a dietitian, I’ve realized that diets don’t work, but reimagining how we eat can impact your health in a positive way.

About Sara Cowlan

My career started in marketing where I was listening to people talking about food at business lunches.

As much as I enjoyed lunch, I wanted to switch gears and support people who were having a complicated relationship with their food.

I returned to school to receive a Masters from New York University in Nutrition and Physical Fitness. After completing my Masters and dietetic internship, I began my work as a dietitian specializing in HIV/AIDS at the Gouverneur Outpatient Clinic, Bellevue Hospital and the Village Center for Care before setting up my private practice.

I believe we can reconnect to our food preferences , nourish our bodies and make peace with food.

I can work with you and guide and support you in reconnecting to and trusting your body again.

I practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) lens, as our weight does not dictate our health or who we are.
